getting technical

Well ... another first. Havn't blogged before but thought it was about time I started .. after all my inspiration and mentor (my dad) is 85 and he is on 'facebook'! Talking of first's ...I took part in my first Skype conference last week, connecting Thailand, Sweden, Iceland with 'liddl ole us' in East Boldon ... a surreal experience for all concerned as I spent the first 5 minutes shouting 'hello' six times into my computer 'This is England calling ... anyone there ...can you hear me.... hello.... hello?' .. sounded a bit like the Eurovision song contest ... ('nil points' did I hear you say).... but not bad for a 'scissors and glue stick' person. Can't believe our tiny company is somehow leading the way in interactive education software worldwide .... thank goodness for Tom and Emma ... they were born in the age of computers whereas I was 'ink monitor' (responsible for filling the ink wells with a sort of watering can device) ... I think you will find some examples at Beamish Museum ...eek!!

Anne Curtis is amazing, she believes in education and children first and business second and that makes her unique these days. She is an inspiration. I would love to see her level of passion rewarded.

The things Anne is doing for education across the country is fantastic. One of the few educational resources I have seen in my whole teaching career that has blown me away! We have the resource here in Dundee, Scotland and it is absolutely fabulous!!!!
